The Gaur Collection of modern and contemporary Indian art includes more than 600 objects of art.
Founded in 1995 by Umesh and Sunanda Gaur, the New Jersey–based Gaur Collection comprises approximately 1,000 works of modern and contemporary Indian art, including paintings, sculpture, prints, photography, and art from indigenous communities.
The collection serves as a foundation for exhibitions, research, and publications developed in collaboration with scholars, curators, and museums. Through exhibitions in their home gallery, museum loans, and gifts to public institutions, the Gaurs share these works with wider audiences and support their study and preservation for future generations.
